Adding Enchantments using anvil and books doesnt work a second time

Using an anvil It doesnt show up that I added a second enchantment. I don't know if it is also with enchantmenttables or that the enchantment is actualy on it. But yeah. I know it is not a texture pack problem and it is on every item.
