Elytra Landing Death

     So, I was using my elytra to fly over a jungle in my main survival world. When I attempted to land, I continued to glide across the ground. After a few seconds, I died, with the death message saying, "Gravity Massive fell from a high place." After all, I managed to find my stuff, though that could've ended a lot worse if I didn't.
