Player does not stick to honey blocks that are pulled down by a piston

The bug

Players do not stick to a honey block if that block is pulled down. They only seem to stick to it if it is moved sideways.

To reproduce

1. Place a sticky piston facing up
2. Place a honey block on top of the piston
3. Stand on top of the honey block
4. Power the piston
5. Remove the power from the piston
   → The player falls instead of sticking to the honey block
