Item frames are now 99% black

when placing item frames on chests, they go from their usual brown color, to nearly pitch black. the items can still be placed in the item frames, and appear slightly darker than normal. I am not using any texture pack or shaders. It is 100% the vanilla textures you supplied with this version of mc.
