Downloading Terrain

I tried most of the version of Minecraft, and I found that I can only reach the homapage of Minecraft but I can't access to any single player map or multiplayer servers. It all stuck on "downloading terrain" and I am totally sure that my hardware and the setting of Minecraft are enough for me to play Minecraft. I hope someone can help me.
