Bees can enter hives/nests through blocks

I was messing around with bee hives and bee nests. I tried placing a nest and completely blocking it off and summoning a bee to see if it would enter. To my surprise, it ignored all the blocks around the nest and entered anyway.

It's really easy to recreate:

1. Place a hive or nest;
2. On each face of the hive/nest put a block (e.g. stone);
3. Place a flower near the hive/nest;
4. Summon a bee.
