Bees don't sleep at night

i was messing around with bees in creative mode. i had three hives - two close to eachother, surrounded by many flowers, and one further away.

upon night coming, the bees continued to exit their hives to collect pollen - this appears to be unintended, although it's possible the behaviour just hasn't been added yet?
