Silver fish spawn excessively

I was walking down my mineshaft ready to dig. Nothing would happen that much, right? Well a silver fish popped out of the wall. One. So I tried to kill it and FOUR MORE came out! It turned out just to be that there were at least 8 more around the bottom of my mineshaft.

This will be hard to remake, as it might be a world generation glitch.
