Anytime I join any server in 1.14.3. or 1.14.4, I get kicked with an error (Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderExceptionL: Badly Compressed Packet - the rest of this error varries)

I have a few survival servers that I join regularly, that vary from different versions. A couple of seconds after joining, I always get an error similar to the one in the summary (Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderExceptionL: Badly Compressed Packet - the rest of this error varies). I don't understand why this is happening. A friend said it's my connection, but my connection is around 5 up 30 down, with both servers located in the US.
