Minecarts sometimes drop you under them in The End

This started happening after updating to 1.14.4.
I have a road made from cobblestone in The End with rails on it, at the point where minecart stops, I made a spruce plank platform (1 block height) to have space to exit the cart. But when I exit sometimes it drops me next to it and sometimes under it (no blocks under) straight into the void.

I was 400 blocks away from obsidian in The End, traveling to my Endermen farm.
