Slime block being held while sleeping displays behind certain objects

Sleeping while holding a stack of slime blocks and facing certain items like chest, minecart with hopper, bed, ender chest, minecart, and minecart with furnace, the stack of slime blocks in hand will sometimes display behind those other items (see image). It can happen while holding 1-64 slimes in either hand.
