Skin Update Failure

Dear Minecraft

There is a problem when I upload a skin! I need help! When I upload a skin, I log back into the same Minecraft server. Then I click "e" so I can see my skin and my skin appeared as Alex. I kept repeating that over and over again but it didn't work. I also tried restarting Minecraft, I clicked settings but it had nothing to do with it. So I clicked "Play" it loaded and I've gotten into the main menu screen. I joined the server again and it happened again. Nothing basically worked when I did those things to fix it. Please help me fix it! I don't really know how to on my own!

This was sent by the same person. I really need help, because there is a problem with updating my skin. It stays as Alex whenever I try to update it, restart it, re-open it, repeating it. That's basically what happens when I try to fix it.
