Dying in Hardcore messes up menu backgrounds

What I expected to happen was for the menu backgrounds to continue being the same as usual

What actually happened was the main menu background changed into a completely white background and the background for the creating new world menu became a screenshot of the last thing you saw upon dying in Hardcore mode

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Die in Hardcore Mode

2. Click Delete World

3. Click Create New World

4. Voila!
