Some dropped items are invisible

Any item dropped can become invisible. This happens at about a 20% chance. I only found it to happen on servers, even with the plain vanilla server. Other people playing said they haven't/aren't experiencing this issue.

My client is not modified in any way (e.g. Optifine or Forge). I have tested and am experiencing this on version 1.13+, may be on 1.12 or lower too.
