LAN Saving Problem

I was playing on a LAN world, which the other person was hosting, and I had to disconnect. I got back on ready to play aaaaand, I spawn back at the very spawn without any items from before I left whatsoever. My custom skin was changed to an Alex skin, even though it shows my custom skin was being used on the Mojang website. Please fix this bug, it upset me a lot when this occured, and that's all I have for today.
