Entities teleporting/disappearing when dismounting

What I expected to happen was...:
When I dismount a horse, donkey or boat the entity will be no more than a few blocks away.

What actually happened was...:
The entity disappeared entirely and only reappeared when quitting and re-entering the game.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Travel on donkey/horse/boat
2. Get out/be forced off of donkey/horse/boat
3. tada no more donkey/horse/boat
