Horses wont spawn on the mac version of Mincraft

I heard that the new snapshot was out and horses would spawn. I created a superflat world (the normal one with grass) on the 13w19a but horses weren't anywhere to be seen. I also created a regular world and went to tons of plaines bioms. But there was not a single horse.
