Iron Farm doesn`t work properly

I`ve built an Iron Farm made by Ilmango yesterday. It worked fine at the beginning, but after a while it stopped working. It seems like when I get really close to the farm and wait a while it comes back to normal, but I really want to know if that`s just a bug, or if it`s work as intended.
