Day Time Not Being Day Time & Changes Made Not Saved

Problem 1: (The first time I arrived at the village) So I used the nether portal to travel to a destination near the village but a least 50 blocks away. So doing what I always do, I tried to fence the village up. So I fenced it up half way and went back through the nether portal to go back to my home which I had to travel the nether and then go through another portal to reach my home. 

So when I went back to the village again the fence was gone and it looked like nothing changed and problem 2 surfaced as well.

 

Problem 2: When I went back to the village it looked like this and it is in the Day time. and my portal disappeared as well.
