Villager Trading UI Shows/Disappears within split second

I built several different villages, bringing random villagers in or curing from Zombie Villagers to Villagers.  About half of my current village are unable to trade.  I right click, the trading UI opens, but closes nearly immediately.  Its different kinds of villagers, and different professions as well.  I cannot upload a screenshot as the UI closes nearly immediately.
