Planting seeds

What I expected to happen was...:

Planting a Wheat seed on farmland.

What actually happened was...:

Nothing happens when i right click on farmland with Wheat Seeds in my hand.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. i make farmland next to water.
2. i wait for the farmland to get dark/wet.
3. then i try to plant Wheat Seeds and sometimes nothing happens.
