Sky light appearing without legitimate source

I have a mob system that has a halfslab roof over the top of it. In 1.14.2 and prior, this roof made the spawning platform be at light level 0. As of updating to 1.14.3, however, there appears to be random skylight blocks placed all around what is supposed to be a dark area, and I cannot find a source.
