Whenever I mine and try to eat something, there is a delay when the action is actually made and done

Whenever I try to mine obsidian, there is like a 10 second delay until the obsidian block actually breaks and till it drops too. This issue is really starting to bother me, if someone could help please tell me how do I fix this issue 'cause it is really annoying to play minecraft like this, it also happens with mobs. Whenever I try to kill a mob, it doesn't take damage or moves until a certain amount of time also with eating, taking damage and all of that sort of stuff
