Mason villager opens up to trade and then immediately closes - won't let me trade.

I go up to my Mason villager to trade, I press right click and the trading thing comes up for a split second, and then goes away. It only affects my mason. I'm able to trade with all the other villagers that have a work station. 

 

update: My mason -expert won't let me trade. My novice mason will allow me to trade.
