Iron bars/glass panes despawn lanterns when hung up underneath or put onto the bars/panes.

Every time I put a lantern on top of an iron bar, it immediately despawns. It also goes like this when i hang it underneath the iron bars, or when the bars are connected to something. Even via another block won't work. The exact same full issue occurs with glass panes too.
