When placing water on top of a slab which is in the top half of a block, the water is placed in the same space as the block

To repeat this bug:
Place a slab so it takes up the top half portion of a block space. Place a bucket of water on top of the slab.

My experience is the water will be inside the slab as opposed to on top of the slab.
