Inventory Dead space

The inventory has a dead space in the last space of the first row, it won't let me place/take items from that spot from the inventory menu. i can access it fine if i access a chest, but just opening the inventory with the 'E' button, the mouse just jumps over that one space, and if it doesn't, it behaves as if the spot is empty. I tried multiple saves, all have the problem, and restarting the launcher didn't help. i even tried 1.14 and 1.14.1 and it still didn't work. I even opened a 1.13.2 save, with 1.13.2 to see if it would show up in an earlier version, seems the problem is 1.14 because the bug didn't show up in the 1.13.2 save file.
