My Horse Is Invisible

I didn't throw a potion on my horse and no witch did either. I was riding my horse, got oof, and tamed a dog. I look back and the horse is gone. I've looked for it, but I cannot find it. I can hear it trotting and neighing, but I can't see it. I'm a little confused. ???
