Parrots disappear in boats

I have tried several times to move my tamed parrots from the jungle to my base, over the ocean with no luck. I went to use a boat, like usual, and once i get to my house and get out of the boat the parrot disappears. I did a few tests, and EVERY parrot that gets in a boat will disappear if anyone gets in and out of the boat. I've read an issue like this has happened in the past but supposedly had been fixed...
