Lingering Potions Don't Give Effects or Disappear

I was throwing potions around in creative mode on my Nintendo Switch. I noticed that when I threw a lingering potion, it wouldn't give any potion effects and the particle effects wouldn't disappear. I tried in survival and the same thing happened. I waited for a while. I rejoined. It just doesn't disappear or give potion effects! It's weird and annoying. Please fix this!
