Tamed horse disappears upon dismount

Simply hopping off of my horse causes the horse to disappear. This does not happen every single dismount but it is like 1/4 times. I have to relog to get the horse back. I can't even hit the horse when it disappears - it's legit gone until I exit to menu and reload the world.
