The Anvil Doesn't Appear In The Recipe Book

Really i think the summary sais it all, theres nothing else to add, i have 3 iron blocks and 4 iron ingotsin my inventory, the anvil doesnt appear in the recipie book in any tab, after manually crafting one and making 3 more iron blocks, it did appear
