Chopping any kind of wood causes mass fps drops

I've been testing this out both on single player and on multiplayer/realms. And I've found that on both of them this issue occurs. The steps to reproduce it are just to go up to a tree in any gamemode with any tools (includes a players hand) and then after chopping a few logs your fps should begin dropping immediately upon breaking the log
