Armor status disappering after entering portal

The armor status icons in the hotbar disappear after entering portal.

What I expected to happen

The armor status icon appear in the hotbar.

What actually happened

The icons disappeared

Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to survival mode.
2. Put on armor.
3. Enter the Nether or End portal.
4. See the armor status icons disappear.
