java.io.IOException

I've been playing in a Realm with some of my friends. But today, after my friend updated the realm, I've not been able to stay in the game. Whenever I try to log onto the realm, this message pops up:
"Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."
