after moving through end gateway, have gotten stuck in island

having used an enderpearl to move through the end gateway, i find myself seemingly fused to the floor. to get me out of the block, i think the game forcefully pushed me aside, causing me to fall of the island and into the void. In the screen shot attached is how far out I had to extend the island before i stopped just pushing me off to my death.

while in this "stuck" state, my character vibrates up and down.
