Villagers cannot jump over trapdoors in villages

Villagers simply cannot jump over trapdoors. When put in a barrel shape, this pretty much traps them. There's several examples of such a design found in villages, so a player may end up having to remove these trapdoors or else their villagers will end up clustered together in a small container shown in the image
