Despawning Fish after leaving chunks

Fishes in lakes, rivers, oceans, etc. are despawning after leaving the chunks where the fish source is located. For example, I make a fishing pond filled with cod and salmon, and if I leave the chunks where the pond is located, I return to find it empty
