Cannot interact with the environment after switching Modes

What I expected to happen was...:

When I use Creative or Spectator mode then switch to Adventure mode, I cannot longer use any type of tool or even my hands to gather anything in the world. I can punch mobs of all types and open doors, chest and things like this. This is for ALL new Worlds.

 

What actually happened was...:
Unable to interact with the environment

1. Switch to different modes: Creative, Spectator to Adventure
