Wandering Trader constantly running

The Wandering Trader keeps running around all the time. The character has been running ever since a creeper almost exploded near my hut. The creeper was about to blow when I quickly shut the door and after I opened the door a few moments later, the creeper was gone but the trader has been running around since then.
