guardian attack sound was stuck playing

I was boating by a water temple and after passing I noticed that the guardian attack sound was stuck playing even though I had left the vicinity of the temple. Looking at the F3 screen I could see that several sounds were playing. I was able to stop it by changing the master volume to zero, resuming, then changing it back to its normal setting.
