Formatting codes don't work

the Formatting codes in "Book and Quill" dont work. The § character still does not appear, but any other key appears and the text formatting is not changed.

Formatting to change the color, font style (italic, bold, scratched, underlined) and the letters not changing, none of that happens.

• If I could, I also wanted to add a way to create an index, which could be links that made the jump to a specific page, thus creating an interactive index.
