Lighting Bug, Sky is Lighting Caves

On our server, we made a basic skeleton XP farm, and then it wasn't spawning any skeletons. There are no light sources that are player-placed, but when I look at the F3 log it says that the cavern that which the spawner is set is lit up 15 levels by the sky. There is no way that the skylight could reach the spawner.
