Any mob or NPC except other players and player are not moving

Every time I log on to a single world, not a multiplayer world, nothing is moving, there is also a lot of lag with the new version. I also have a problem where I get stuck on the 'saving world screen' I exited a single world six weeks ago and it is still on that screen! if this stuff can be fixed that will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
