Missing illagers during raids

Raids will not continue after a couple of waves have been complete. I try finding them but have no luck. I have looked through tunnels, around the village, areas outside of the raid area and no luck. The bell feature doesn't even work. It rings but does not highlight the enemies within the area. The raid system is broken. This raid takes place in the taiga biome. The raid just eventually disappears.
