Re-downloading 1.14 caused previous issues and more

Today, the launcher somehow had to re-download 1.14 (it was NOT missing from the versions folder, I checked) and issues such as water appearing as lava persisted even after re-logging and chunk reloading. Also, I cannot interact with anvils without the GUI popping up for a split second. And my cat changed coat and untamed itself.
