experience glitch

experience will only go north and a little bit south

I just wanted to give me some experience but then I noticed this

like I said before the experience will only go north and a little bit south

The way I used to do it was to:
1. out a command block down and set it to repeating
2. put a redstone wire from a distance from it so you don't collect any of the experience points
3. place a lever down at the end of the redstone trail and it will do this

It's kinda hard to see but you can see that a lot of the experience orbs are going the same way.
