Breaking Logs and Bamboo Causes Lag Spikes

I'm not sure if its how the game calculates leaf decay or just the particles (I dont think its the particles because i turned them off to see if it fixed it, it did not) but almost every time i chop down some trees i always get a lag spike right as i break the block, bamboo on the other hand just lags as long as I'm cutting bamboo.
