Broken blocks won't drop after updating survival world from 1.13.2 to 1.14

After playing on my 1.13.2 survival world for around 2 months I backed up and loaded my world in 1.14. When I break ANY block using ANY tool the broken block will not drop. I have searched areas around where I broke the block but it is not there, it just disappears.
