Gameplay crash

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected the game to keep working, just like normal gameplay.

What actually happened was...:
After a few minutes or so in my world (the time I can play before crashing varies), my game will stop working. (ex: when I mine, nothing drops; when I use commands, nothing happens). I tried to save the game and close it, but I was stuck on the saving world screen. I had to restart my PC to close the game, and I reopened the game, played for a few minutes, and the same problem happened again. I've restarted and reloaded my PC and the game multiple times, and this problem has kept occurring. 

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a world

2. Play

3. The crash I described should happen after a while, at least it happened to me.
